Opening of the year - Ufa

This year, traveling by car with our family in Russia, we stopped in Ufa for one day to see the sights and appreciate the flavor of the capital of Bashkiria.

We rented an apartment near the center in order to get around it on foot without wasting time on transport trips. We always do this when visiting cities for tourist purposes.

Looking ahead, I will say that we liked everything in Ufa and one day was not enough.

The first thing that caught my eye was how national Bashkir ornaments were inscribed into the appearance of the city. This is an important element of the overall picture of the city, its unique style.

Ufa is a honey land. And this feature also finds its embodiment in the appearance of the city. There is an art object with bees on honeycombs, and we noticed a building with a honeycomb decor.

Ufa is the birthplace of not only the well-known Salavat Yulaev, but also the poet, writer and playwright Mustai Karim is revered here. Mustafa Safich Karimov is a national poet of Bashkortostan. A street is named after him in Ufa, and a monument with the signature "Mustai Karim – the people of Bashkortostan" is erected in the city center. This sculptural composition is the most magnificent work of art that we have ever seen while traveling through the cities of Russia. To depict a man, and behind his back the life of the creator through the prism of the life of the people is a truly brilliant idea.

And an unusual monument made of precious metal appeared in Ufa a few years agoll. From 925 sterling silver cast who would you think ...? The tick "Valera". The creators of the unusual art object looked at the arachnid from an unexpected side. Not from the point of view of hatred, as a carrier of dangerous diseases, but simply as a living being. This is emphasized by the touching inscription on the sign "I just, like you, want to live!".

The city is clean, there is a lot of greenery, the eye is happy. While we were walking around the center, a few times we were slightly soaked by a light rain. Walking through the wet streets, we didn't get our shoes or clothes dirty.

They cook delicious food in Ufa. During the day, we visited three different catering establishments and left each with a feeling of gastronomic pleasure.

In general, this city is definitely worth a visit if you have never been there. And from everyone who has already gone there, I heard only one thing: "We want to return to this city again!".
