A guest house in the village of Goritsy, Ivanovo region. Opening in November 2025!
There are two ancient merchant villages in the very center of Russia - Dunilovo and Goritsy. They are called "Suzdal in miniature". They are located along the banks of the Teza River and stand at the ancient crossroads of trade roads. They were the richest. To this day, many beautiful temples, a bakery and manor houses have been preserved. There is something to show the guests! With this thought and fervent love for our native land, we are preparing to open a village guest house in the village of Goritsy.
The idea of organizing a guest house was born at the moment when the collection of furniture and peasant household items no longer fit in our house, and there was a desire to introduce guests to the beauties of the Ivanovo region.
The idea is both simple and unique.
Imagine. You arrive in the Ivanovo region and stay in a village house. In the morning you will be woken up by the crowing of a rooster, and for breakfast you will taste fresh milk and hot bread from an ancient bakery.
What can I do for myself in the village?
Visit Orthodox monasteries and enjoy the beauty of the Russian hinterland, swim in a clear river and kayak along it, go to the museum of local lore and see how embroidery is created on natural fabrics. And yet, Shuisky district is rich in farms. It is a gastronomic paradise for true gourmets. Strawberries from local plantations, milk from Nubian goats, craft cheese, natural honey, cereals from the monastery fields. And the ostrich and snail farms will be remembered for a lifetime. Here you will see the largest birds in the world and will be able to taste the refined dishes of grape snails.
Winter lovers will be invited to a ski trip, because a good ski run starts right from our guest house.
Also, the main event of winter awaits you - the Shuisky annual festival "Russian Christmas".
Our house will be waiting for you with a heated Russian stove, a traditional village bath and a hot font, a fragrant samovar with herbal tea, silence and peace. We will tell our guests about the true village skills, teach them how to chop green cabbage soup and make butter.
The house is designed for 4 people and 1-2 children's places (on request. From 0 years old.) Parking, photo zones, a sauna and a vat, a children's corner, a small orchard and a vegetable garden are planned on the territory. Our guests will be able to take advantage of independent vacations and package tours. The booking is scheduled to open in November 2025, and the first guests will meet on New Year's holidays in 2026.
