Sakhalin is a place worth discussing

Sakhalin is the largest island of the Russian Federation in its eastern part. Summers are quite cool here (the average temperature does not exceed 19 °C), and winters are harsh (up to 19 °C). But despite the extraordinary climate, Sakhalin has many places worth visiting.

Korsakov Port was built in 1853. Its name is associated with the surname of the Governor-General of Eastern Siberia Mikhail Korsakov. In 1993, the port gained international status. Daginsky thermal springs are located in the Nogliki district, a few km from the Bay of Dagi. The total number of keys is about 60 pcs. The temperature is quite high, about 50 ° C. The Yuzhno-Sakhalinsky mud volcano is distinguished by its uniqueness.  The sizes are as follows: height 300 m, diameter about 200 m. Such a geological monument of nature was formed 25 kilometers from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. It looks spectacular and extraordinary. On the surface of the volcano you will see bubbling bubbles of mud, which look like hundreds of small volcanoes are trying to break out. The entire surface is covered with frozen mud that has been erupted.

Chekhov Peak, located near Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.The name of the peak acquired after visiting A.P. Chekhov. The writer wanted to see with his own eyes the place where the repressed citizens of the USSR served their exile. Everything that the writer saw and experienced during the trip was reflected in his book "Sakhalin Island". Climbing to the very top of the peak, tourists will be able to find a gift – the ruins of an ancient pagan temple built by the Japanese.
