How do we usually choose the points on the map of Russia that we want to visit? What matters is the convenient location and attractive street spaces. So, in a series of other cities, Nizhny Novgorod was also on the list. We got to him from Moscow. From the capital to Nizhny Novgorod is only more than five hours by train.

The city delighted and left a lot of positive emotions in my memory.

I will not dwell in detail on its main attraction – the ancient Kremlin, it is, of course, great, but a lot has been said about it. I will tell you about the modern chips of the city - its parks.

One of the most vivid memories is evening walks in the park of the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod, modernized on the eve of the big anniversary.

The park, without exaggeration, can be called stunning. This is not just a neatly decorated riverbank for walking, an impressive cultural space with its scale is a real work of art, opening in all its glory before the eyes of citizens and tourists in the evening and at night. Its main feature is lighting. Several hundred light elements are installed on the territory of the park.

Nizhny Novgorod is considered the capital of sunsets, perhaps this inspired the authors of the project to create a light-dynamic installation of 300 lamps, which burns with red-orange colors. According to the authors, it is a continuation of the sunset.

Another feature of the installation system is the dedication of individual lamps to the years of birth of residents and guests of the city. At a special terminal located in the park, you need to enter your year, and one of the lights will light up, and interesting information about important historical events of this year will appear on the interactive scoreboard of the terminal.

The park did not forget about the accessible environment – the ramps are very convenient.

There are also modern children's and sports grounds. I caught myself thinking that here you can just sit all night on a comfortable bench with a cup of coffee – enjoying the decoration of the park and the view of the city.

There are several other parks in Nizhny Novgorod: they are all clean, well-groomed, interesting (each with its own chips), some are even guarded.
