The capital of folk arts and crafts. Nizhniy Novgorod

A lot of amazingly beautiful things in our country are made by people inspired by their own hands. You look, you admire, you are perplexed! There are so many talented craftsmen in Russia. What unique artworks they create.
Did you know that the Nizhny Novgorod Region occupies the first place among all regions of Russia in terms of the number of preserved folk arts and crafts?

What is noteworthy is that all of them are available to travelers who are interested in industrial tourism - enterprises can be visited as part of tour groups or individually.
What are they notable for?

Khokhloma painting is one of the business cards of Nizhny Novgorod region. The products painted by Khokhloma are known all over the world.

Modern craftsmen, as in the old days, paint all products by hand, coming up with a wide variety of themes for their art.
Gold embroidery is a traditional ancient Russian gold embroidery art, which few people know and have heard about today. This case is also being continued in the city of Gorodets. Local craftswomen preserve the traditions of ornaments with floral motifs.
