Mosaic Novosibirsk

About some localities, we can say that they are not very original and beautiful: houses and neighborhoods are unremarkable, boring.

On the one hand, you can concentrate on what makes you sad, and on the other hand, look for bright colors in your native place, and maybe make a feasible contribution to improving your appearance).

Let's consider the situation on the example of Novosibirsk.
Probably, in contrast to these rumors, one girl obsessed with positivity had an irresistible desire to decorate various surfaces in the city with small mosaic figures made in pixel style.

Her name is Galina Boarintseva, and she is not an artist, but... an accountant. Galina creates figurines to bring positive and bright colors to the image of the city.

How cute it looks, you can't imagine! Here you are wandering down the street, preoccupied with everyday thoughts, and then, suddenly, you notice a dog with a heart in his hands on the wall. A smile appears on his face, and his soul feels warm.

So in our native area I found several more similar figures.

One of the houses is now decorated with an interesting picture of houses surrounded by greenery, and an owl lurks near the fence of a neighboring house.

You run to class at the children's center, and a mosaic fox smiles at you from around the corner.

Perhaps inspired by the work of a Siberian woman in 2023, a group of initiative creative Novosibirsk residents decorated the wall of one of the cinemas in the city center with colorful flying birds assembled from pieces of a mosaic.

How amazing it looks! Now, every time I find myself in this place, I stop to look at the birds.
I would like to note that the first mosaic art in Novosibirsk began to appear back in Soviet times. They still decorate various buildings and structures in the city: one of the largest publishing houses, the building of the scientific institute, the house of culture, the walls of Pyshechnaya, metro stations, public transport stops.

Be inspired by your native places, fantasize, boldly create something that no one has done and, who knows, maybe it is your realized brilliant idea that will become a new attraction for which tourists will strive to visit your city.
