Siberian winter vacation. Ski resort - Sheregesh

Sheregesh is a village in the Tashtagolsky district of the Kemerovo region, widely known for its ski resort.

It is located at the foot of Mount Zelenaya. And in total there are 3 mountains in this area with ski slopes equipped on them: Zelenaya (Sector E, F and A, B), Asyr (Sector E) and Mustag (Sector B). Currently, another mountain is being developed here - Utuya (Sector E), lifts are being built there and trails are being laid.

There is another mountain without slopes for skiing - Kurgan. At its top there is a worship cross - one of the symbols of Sheregesh.
We went to Sheregesh with the whole family in February by car from Novosibirsk. The journey took 9 hours (including one stop for lunch at a roadside cafe). We settled in the village itself, in a guest house.

A two-storey house with two bedrooms cost 18 thousand in four days. Theoretically, it can accommodate 3 small families. Our friends lived in the house with us, they came from neighboring Tomsk to keep us company on ski trips. As a result, 9 thousand per family turned out for the house.
Of course, you can stay in hotels right by the mountain, but the price for a day's stay in them is many times higher. Since we arrived by car, there was no need to settle next to the slope, we got there quickly. But if you arrived without a car, it is advisable to settle closer to the ski slopes in order to get to them on foot. Otherwise, you will spend all that you have saved on housing on a taxi.

The most ideal time for skiing is March. In winter, the weather in the mountains is changeable.

If it is very cold or windy, then the lifts are stopped and the skating is canceled. In late winter and early spring, the weather is already more favorable for comfortable skiing. We were lucky with her, in those days that we were in Sheregesh, the skating was canceled only once and only in the evening.

Since we arrived with a small child, who had not yet been put on either downhill skiing or snowboarding, my husband and I had to ride separately. While one went to have fun on the mountain, the other occupied the child. There are two options for entertaining young children. The first is to take him to the top of the mountain on a lift, the second is to take him to the game room. My son and I have been there and there. There are children's playgrounds in rental locations and hotels near the mountains. There are no problems with getting warm and eating. There are restaurants and cafes in the village, at the foot of the mountains, and on their peaks.

By the way, this year, for the first time in 12 years, I decided to ski down the mountains again.
