Due to its steepness, the Dollar trail is one of the most popular among experienced skiers. It was there that my husband, an experienced skier, went on the warmest and sunniest day of our mountain vacation. Riding it with the breeze on a clear day is an incredible pleasure!

We follow him to the ski resort. And what wonderful views there are of the mountain slopes! And what charming pictures you get!

There are more than a dozen trails of varying difficulty in Sheregesh on the Zelenaya, Mustag and Asyr mountains: the simplest for beginners (marked in green on maps), trails with a low level of difficulty (blue), medium level (red) and high level of difficulty (black).

Freeriders there can also find a lot of places where you can ride on the puhlyak off-piste. They can climb to the top of the mountain by ski lifts or using the snowmobile delivery service.
I'm a beginner. 12 years ago, I climbed a mountain for the first time, tried to learn how to ski on my own from the simplest route. But on the second descent she was injured in a fall, almost out of the blue. I restored my leg, but for a long time I didn't even want to hear anything about skiing, because I injured a ligament without learning how to ride. And this year I decided to try again. Only this time I started training under the supervision of professionals. I booked two hours in advance (the day before skiing) with an instructor on one of the simple trails of Mount Zelenaya. The desired route, the height to which it is worth climbing, is determined by the instructor based on the level of training and skill of the student.

The pleasure is not cheap. For two hours of study, I gave 5,500 thousand, 1,500 rubles for renting skis, boots and a helmet, and about three hundred rubles for climbing the mountain for myself and the instructor. In total, almost 7000-odd thousand. But, I will say unequivocally, it's worth it.

After the first two hours of proper skiing, you feel calm and confident on the mountain, you know not only how to ride, go into turns, but also how to hold the body properly, how to brake and how to fall.
The next day I wanted to take another lesson in the evening from a slightly more difficult route, but the weather in the mountains is unpredictable. It was because of her that the evening skating was canceled on that day. Well, I postponed the continuation of my studies until next time.

I must say that due to the weather, we were unable not only to ski in the evening one of the days, but also to enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains, climbing the lifts to the peaks. One day it even seemed that the weather was perfect, it wasn't too cold, the sun was hot, the sky was slightly cloudy. But this is the picture below.

When we climbed to the top of Mount Zelenaya, in sector E, we were literally blown away by the wind on the way from the lift to the nearest cafe. It was impossible to stay outside for more than a minute, his face instantly turned red, there was a real risk of frostbite.

My husband went down from this mountain on skis, and my son and I stayed a little while having lunch at a cafe on the mountain, and when we were going down, we found that the lifts had stopped due to the strong wind. I had to spend a few more hours in the cafe, waiting for the wind to die down, the lifts to work, and we could go back.

This is a mountain Siberian vacation. Sometimes it is not easy to contemplate and enjoy due to the peculiarities of the weather, sometimes you are completely delighted with skiing and the surrounding beauties. But this unpredictability also has its own charm. Mountains are characterful. To enjoy them, you have to love them!
